Dave's Italian with "The Works" is filling & has a nice spicy kick to it. This isn't a franchise. Dave (originally from Philly) himself makes your hoagies. If only he toasts the bread. Wall St prices.

Excellent Philly-style sandwiches in the Financial District. Make sure to get yours loaded with "the works," a tangy mix of vinegar, cheese, and roasted and pickled vegetables.

Must go in Fidi. Best heros in the city. Super fresh, super tasty. Finally a place where their special sauce is not ketchip and mayo mixed.

Delicious Italian subs and friendly service. The veggies are really fresh and the house sauce is delicious.

These are delicious and sizable Italian hoagies. The flavor makes up for the slightly high prices, and everyone here is very friendly. Go with a roast beef with the works!

Dave is the man! Everything on the menu is great, but try the imported italian tuna. Make sure you get the works. Riquisimo!

New York Magazine Cheap Eats issue recommends the Italian ($11), "a fat, drippy, South Jersey hoagie served on a bona fide New York hero roll."

Good hoagie bread. A little pricey but a satisfied customer. Would go back.

Great hoagies but the prices are a bit high for your basic cold sandwiches.
