Taking a run through the Presidio on a sunny morning is the best way to get inspired. Run through to a high vantage point and look out on the bay. Nothing beats it.

Run to the top of hill in the middle of the lake and view the Golden Gate Bridge.

Stop by the Sunday farmers market on Divisadero and Grove to pick up some snacks to munch on. (They even have a designated dog sitter to watch your pooch while you shop)
It gets very muddy, it's not fully enclosed and there are no lights on at night but there's plenty of room for the doggies to run and there's even a little hiking trail that winds around it.
Bring your pup here and avoid the warehouse vibe other kennels have. Nora and co. are FANTASTIC, and all the dogs play all day and love it!
Drop by and look at the dogs and cats. They have extensive hallways for visitors to freely wander and look at the animals.
If you have a small dog go to the north side of the park. Bigger dogs go to the south. I don't know where people w/o dogs go. :-)
