Great place for a live funk, soul, jazz or blues. Very good food and service. Amazing atmosphere I was surprised to experience in Detroit. MUST visit place if around!

Home to some of the finest jazz in the city, Cliff Bell's also features a serious meal menu. Mac & cheese and any of an assortment of meaty appetizers are a must. [Eater 38 Member]
Beautiful venue, fine bar and as others noted, a fine happy hour. But not all the seats are great for seeing the stage. So unless you're 7 feet tall, check the line-of-sight before you sit.
Step back in time when you visit this amazing Art Decojazz club. Check their website for a calendar of events and enjoy a fantastic drink from their cocktail menu when you arrive.
Have a Ramos gin fizz at this mahogany-and-brass Art Deco masterpiece while live jazz wafts through the dining room. For more local tips, follow us on 4sq or check out www.renhotels.com
1.) Don't order a rum & coke. 2.) Try a margarita instead. 3.) Fries are great too. 4.) You must see Gerard Gibbs and his organ trio on Tuesday nights. :)
Be aware that you practically have to join the band on stage to find the ladies loo. Go to stage. Head up the tiny staircase on the right. Proceed up zebra carpeted stairs.Your reward: cleanbathroom!
