A new take on upscale Chinese features an array of starters and mains, all in an elegant setting. Their signature dessert, Bananas in a Box, can't be missed.
The bright spots of the mains veer mostly toward the strictly Asian, such as the pan seared spicy tuna or miso grilled vegetables and udon noodles served with a mushroom hoisin sauce. Read more
Food is amazingly delicious !! Serving size is meant for sharing at least for two people , so if you order appetizers each dish is at least for 2 people ;)))) interior is trendy
China Grill is quite possible one of the best restaurants that I frequent. I've eaten here approx. seven times and every experience was exceptional! The food has always been perfectly prepared!
What can I say..After years of coming here.. this place has always been my safety restaurant. The avocado fried rice & fried spinach is worth passing 14th st. Also great for lunch meetings.
I prefer whiskey but their specialty drinks are popular. Groups can choose the menu's "Sharing" option & try a bit of everything. On a scale of 1-10, I give 'em a 5.75 (taste doesn't match prices).
Try the Kaleidoscope Roll - Riceless Kaleidoscope Roll: tuna, white tuna, salmon, avocado, four tobikos, spicy mayo and sesame yuzu, wrapped in sesame soy paper
The calamari salad is amaze balls, the skirt steak always awesomesauceable. Pear sake sangria is great (I'm out of ridiculous adjectives). Stay away from the pork belly.
Don't order from the regular menu, less you're willing to shell out $150 p/person. Ask for the other menus (Lunch & Diner Menu, Executive Menu, $65 Dinner Tasting Menu, and $28 Saturday Brunch Menu!)
Unwind After Work @ China Grill: Join us Mon-Fri 4-8pm for drink specials & bar snacks...enjoy $5 beers, $7 select red & white wines & $8 select cocktail specials!
The bento boxes at China Grill are really one of the only good things about lunch in midtown. Make sure to sit at the bar tables or they're not available. Read more
Very good food and atmosphere although the waitress tried to up-sell us and told us the portions were small so we would order more of already overpriced food -not classy.
