As mayor, I know all the tips: come at lunch, sit at the bar, eat mole. The special is only $6. Come back early on for happy hour and again, sit at the bar for $2 chicken mole tacos and $3 beer.Upvoted Dec 7, 2024

The tacos are top notch, and only $2 during happy hour ($3 normally). Try the sweet chicken mole, the bistec, and the carne enchilada.

The Corcoran GroupNovember 6, 2013One of our favorite Mexican joints in Brooklyn. Come for brunch or for dinner, order the white sangria, guacamole, and any of the tacos (for dinner) or the breakfast enchiladas (for brunch).
Food is always great but boy do they have a killer brunch. Try the Chavela's Omelette (avocado, bacon and cheese) w/ a side of chorizo hash. Bonus: they put cinnamon in their coffee so it's mad cozy.

Holy cow. I've never been disappointed by anything here, but the Huevos Ahogados brunch item is one of the best Mexican meals or breakfast meals I've ever had! Make it a priority. Favorite restaurant in the neighborhood for happy hour, dinner, takeout or brunch. Go early for brunch. The guac is delicious year-round.

Do: add smoked trout to the guac, come for the $2 taco happy hour or the amazing $6.95 lunch specials. Don't: underestimate how often you will eat here if you leave in the area/delivery range
The steak option for brunch is the most ridiculous bang for your buck. Everything here is great too regardless.

KinoMarch 11, 2015Mexican corn here is tasty, thanks to the chipotle mayo. They serve cactus here, which is different & good. Quesadillas are small, but I liked the squash blossom. Shrimp ceviche is not worth ordering.
Good food, good portions, good drinks, great prices, good service. There is normally a wait (even for bar seats) but it's worth it #whycrownheights

Great value and great food. Ambience is very chill and anything you get is good- tacos or enchiladas are always a solid choice as well.
Fantastic service, great brunch options, strong margaritas. I loved the poached eggs with Mexican style hash browns and brown rice.

This place has the most yummy drinks! I think the food is just ok, it's very bland. However, the drink keep bringing me back, esp the margarita and sangria mixed drink.
Come here for margs galore and yummy Mexican staples (brunch or dinner). For a delightfully refreshing cocktail, try the Don Pepino.

I usually say, see for yourself. Also recommend pork enchilada taco. Very accommodating for children which is very much appreciated.
