- Djaniella D.January 3, 2016SUPERB! Matcha heaven. Matcha latte (iced + hot) is a must try. Plenty of delicious light food options to choose from such as their avocado toast or miso butter toast.
Is matcha the next big thing in nyc? Then Chalait got it right. Serving counter culture coffee too along with selection of teas. Airy & light woody interior. Right off the Christopher street station.

winMarch 9, 2015Matcha latte and cortado tasted very similar - both delicious not matcha-y enough. Banana bread moist with lots of walnuts. Be prepared to stand around on a Sunday aft, not enough seats.

It confuses me that @ a cafe with 1st come 1st served seating, i'm told by the mgr to vacant the only two seats at the bar to make room for a party of four ... I guess we'll b taking our drinks to-go.

Iced matcha latte is a refreshing option for the summer. Get it hot when the weather gets cold.
