Positioned in joining 12 avenues just made this special spot merely the center of Paris. Lights from every direction throned this to "golden arc of the world"
La Duree is the classic macaron, but Pierre Herme is impressive flavor-wise. The olive oil + vanilla is my favorite (weird, I know), and their other desserts (rose croissant?!) are great too!
Don't pay €11 each to go to the 'Panoramic View', go up to the restaurant for free and you can have a drink for less than €11 and if it's not too busy you'll get a table by the window!
