I typically come here for brunch on the weekends. It's fun sitting on the patio outside with a dog. The hostess who usually works on the weekends loves dogs and brings a water bowl.
great chicken and waffles plate. The waffles are incredible (bacon studded!)...the chicken is tempura battered so not what you'd expect with a traditional chicken / waffles plate but it'll do.
If you read about it in food/ wine, they have it on the menu here. Fresh and yummy consistently the best! Ps if you forget your glasses for reading, they have loaners!
I know brunch. So here's what you do: order the "Blue Max" (poached egg special) with a side of applewood bacon. When finished, thank me...preferably via channels like twitter. @tristanwalker btw! :)
Agree with comment from Tristan. Sit at the bar on a busy night if you want to see how a well-oiled restaurant kitchen works. Had 2 specials and both were very good.
If you haven't already, try to sit at the "bar" to see the chefs go to work! They're awesome. You also get to see/smell all the good foods. Be on the lookout for Charlie Ayers!
Gluten free cookie was really good! Brussels sprouts side Is boring, get something else! My waiter was lame, but the rest of the staff picked up to make it decent experience at the counter!
classy cafe.... eat their quinoa with yellow curry chicken.... sheer brilliance. And definitely try their agave soda...so much better than the cola....definitely skip their sugar free desserts
A great place to go for Gleuten-free eating, everything is clearly marked (though I wish they had GF appitizers!). Also, another vote for the Curry Chicken bowl... Soo good!
Whole wheat bread loaf from the Market a go-go side is delicious. Outside edges are covered with a variety of seeds and the hint of honey is definitely notable. :)
In 2009, Charlie Ayers leased nearly 5,000 square feet of space in the Town & Country Shopping Plaza across from Stanford University, realizing his dream of a owning neighborhood spot serving organic, sustainable, healthy, delicious food...
