An unassuming, reasonably-priced, non-pretentious French restaurant that serves amazing food. A brunch favorite of mine for years. The La Bonne full Breakfast (12 bucks!) will leave you stuffed.
Best mussels in DC. Dirt cheap drinks (IMO). If you see Chris or Najonie (I may have misspelled it) be sure to tip them well. They make strong drinks and are awesome people in general.
I only came to the bar for Sunday brunch and regret not getting any eats. Everyone's plate around me was so tempting. But I PROMISE to come back soon! Plus, I'm 100% Frenchie at heart.
You can't miss on this menu. Chevre chaud salad is great, as is splitting an order of moules frites as an appetizer. Steaks, short ribs and the cassoulet (french stew) are all aces. Read more
The steak frites came out a bit colder in temp than medium rare. Actually, it was just as raw as it could be with grill marks. But, it was delicious. Sit at the bar for a relaxing evening.
