Best airport.o friendly, easy in, easy out. if Air Tran/Southwest only flew direct there Oh well. The only way it could be better is get rid of the Pepsi and replace it all with Coke products.
Quick and easy to get in and out. Only flys to midway for southwest now. But still a great option to get into MI
From where I live, my airport choices are FNT and MBS. At MBS, there's a firm cutoff 45-minutes before takeoff. I missed this once by 5 minutes to find no one at the front desk. FNT is more forgiving.

Ben LaMotheNovember 28, 2011If I'm flying to Michigan and I have the choice of DTW or FNT, I'll choose FNT every time, even if DTW is a bit closer. The airport is a breeze to get in and out of, plus there's free wi-fi.

Easy parking, friendly airline staff & TSA plus free wifi. Getting through security is so much quicker here than the bigger airports. Low stress!
Easy to drop of someone in front of terminal and pick up. Cell phone lot is a 2 minute drive for arrivals.
Usually five flights leaving @ 6 am. TSA line loads up @ 5, can be 20 min + wait. Be aware, lots of people leaving at the same time.

Check your bags early then go enjoy Halo Burger or Sagano Sushi in Flint! Also, enjoy the free wifi!

This airport is so convenient to get through... Security lines are always quick and minimal waiting time. A lot easier than DTW
Enjoy the free wifi! If you're coming in at night, look for Bill as you leave security. He has a delightful way of welcoming you to our town. He doesn't work on Tues or Wed though.
Park in the economy lot. Door-to-door pickup/drop off, and excellent service!

Security staff were amazing! Not rude in any way shape or form. Really appreciate being treated like a person!
KatieOctober 11, 2010If you are on the first AirTran flight in the morning, you do not need to come 2 hours before, the security checkpoint will not be open. Pay the extra couple of bucks for long-term parking over econom- Live this airport. Parking went up thi $6 a day, still half the price as detroit.
If leaving on Monday AM plan extra time, security is crazy
They are completely unprepared for Monday morning travel. Waiting 30-45 minutes to go through the single security line is ridiculous!- Howie MarlinApril 15, 2013No sandwiches, so you have to wait for burger... Unnecessary anxiety if trying to catch a quick lunch between planes.
