The NY steak was delicious! Their signature cocktails are well made and have interesting flavor profiles. The apple fritter was so freakin good! The bartender Nik is super friendly!
All locally sourced plates!! Bread was amazing & made fresh! Fig and prosciutto pizza was tasty. Wish we did the tasting menu! Loved the beer selection. You should definitely sampled a few!
One of my favorite brunches in the city. Reserve a table in advance and if space is tight call and ask to be placed at the Chef's bar overlooking the kitchen. The homemade donuts are a must.
Best gluten free restaurant in DC. They will gladly alter any dish, have a separate GF bread plate (with delicious surprises), and pages of allergy-free beers. Servers very knowledgable, too!
maybe the best homemade donuts in town -- there is a lot to love about this brunch but it can be tough getting a reservation. While mimosas are good, try the brunch punch to mix things up a bit! Read more
An upstairs/downstairs, beer-focused restaurant and gastropub. At Birch & Barley, order the cavatelli and flounder tartare; at Church Key, Tater Tots and charcuterie.
AWESOME, knowledgable staff...thanks Zach! Flatbread is a safe bet, but venture out as it's all tasty. LOVED the skate wing. Everything is seasonal, so menu is constantly changing.
What to get: Pork loin with greens and eggplant; cavatelli with roasted chicken and chicken-skin cracklings; hake with beans and corn; grilled skirt steak with puréed potatoes and mustard greens.
Inauguration drinking games! Sure the truffle mac & cheese and honey-glazed duck breast are also worth Instagramming, but it's mostly the 555 beers that keeps Birch & Barley a DC best. Read more
