Whoa whoa whoa! How did this slip by unnoticed. The BEST banh mi in the East Village (you heard me, Xe May fans) hands down. Coconutbeef whoooo. Perfect baguette. Love the fried onions

The Banh Mi Zon is authentic and very tasty. At $7, it's a bit more expensive than the 35,000 Đong sandwiches you get on the street of Saigon, but that's a pretty good price for New York.
The catfish sandwich is excellent! Best bahn mi in the area. Everything is made fresh daily. They are very committed to not throwing food away so be warned, they run out of food near closing.
I've eaten the chickenbahn mi sandwich 4 times in 1 week. That good. Cash only. $7.61 (w/ tax) is a fair price for a big sandwich. Also very consistent in quality & flavor the past three years.
Tom's favorite banh mi sandwich place. Get the classic/#1/whatever the main one is. He could eat 10000000000000 of these a day. Get a vietnamese iced coffee to go with it.
