Been coming here for 20+ years. A delightful urban oasis. Good restaurant and also snackbar. Check out the orchids. Children's garden has fountains to play in. Great summer concert lineup.
Spring is the perfect season to visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden and experience its beautiful plant collection, as well as the canopy walk, edible garden and cascades garden.
Best place in town for a date! And make sure to go to "The Cafe at Linton's" for dinner, locally farmed, fresh & delicious food!!! So romantic outside at the fountain :*)
A great value for singles, as well as families. Good parking. Walkable. Beautiful. Enough horticultural depth for those who just look, the academic scientists, and the designers.
A fantastic getaway inside the city. There is a conveniently located parkinggarage on site. Be sure to visit the “garden lights, holiday nights“ during the winter holiday season
Gorgeous gardens right in the heart of Atlanta, parallel to Piedmont Park. There are places to eat within the gardens, and great shows. See the ChristmasGarden Lights!
After seeing Dale Chihuly’s exhibit on display at the Atlanta Botanical Garden through October, make a stop in the Conservation Greenhouse to see endangered plants featuring a variety of orchids.
The holiday garden lights are sensational, but I'm not sure if it's worth the full price ($30+). I recommend coming right at 9pm--they drop the price and you'll still have 2 full hours to explore.
MetroFresh in the Garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a snack or meal made from the freshest ingredients. You can even order ahead for concerts in the garden.
A little pricey, but gorgeous. Be sure to check out the holiday lights - they are spectacular. Grab an adult hot chocolate and make s'mores. Very wheelchair accessible.
I purchased some Garden of Lights tickets to see tonight but the weather is so bad. Staff was nice enough to refund my money back to me, due to to the weather. Will be back next year.
With more than 30 acres of gardens, forest, wildflowertrails and the 10,000-square-foot Fuqua Orchid Center, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is one of Atlanta's most beautiful attractions.
Amazing scenery with beautiful exhibits inside the gates. Ghetto thieving hoodrats outside the gates. Unsafe parking area with high number of vehicle break ins.
Take a stroll through the Fuqua Conservatory, an organic biosphere at the nearby Atlanta Botanical Garden, and enjoy the various collections of tropical palms and conifers.
Check out their new holiday lights show! Absolutely Beautiful! Try to go during the week. Getting busier on weekends and the closer we are to Christmas! Check out our website for the full review.
Experience the a walk in the forest like no other. Tour one of the city's last remaining urban forests from 40 feet in the air on the Canopy Walk and enjoy a bird's-eye view of Storza Woods.
This is a somewhat pricey but incredibly well done botanical garden. In December, it is all lit up with Christmas lights, which is a romantic spectacle.
When attending the after hours events in the garden it is smart to bring a flash light as the paths are not well lit. Recently attended the pumpkin carving event and was shocked by the safety issues.
Garden Lights, Holiday Nights starts Saturday, November 17! Get tickets early at http://www.atlantabotanicalgarden.org/events-classes/garden-lights-holiday-nights
There is a lot of ground to cover but be prepared to drop $20 a person. In the off season the only thing to really see are the indoor orchid and tropical exhibits.
At Atlanta Botanical Garden the orchid collection is divine, the edible garden intriguing, but for a taste of the high life stroll the 40ft-high canopy walk through the treetops.
If you're doing Cocktail in the Garden, be prepared to WAIT on those cocktails! Totally worth it for a group. Also, ladies, be careful with your heels: lots of walking to be had!
