The arepas (get the veggie or pabellon) give Caracas a run for its money. Get a side of plantains and their dense, bready, sticky caramel-y flan, or an icy, not-to-sweet coconut shake if it's hot out.
Who knew mashedfish, arepa and spicy sauce could taste so good together. Not to forget the grilled plantains. This cuisine is slowly creeping to my top fav. Give this place a shot. Friendly staff.
Both the vegetariano arepa and empanada were both amazing. One of each is enough for two people! It may not look like it, but they are so dense, pace yourself. Try the sauces on the table also!
The veganarepa is better than the vegetarian! Way more hearty and flavorful. It's like a hearty vegetablestew. And you can get it with cheese if you want
A cheerful neighborhood restaurant that serves up affordableVenezuelan classics. Meat lovers should go for the arepa pabéllon, packed with shredded beef, black beans, and fried sweet plantains.
I’m a fan of the peril, pabellon, jamon con queso, vegetariana, and vegana picantearepas. The carite frito and pabellon criollo dishes are also great. Wash it all down with a cocada.
Order the pabellon criollo, a Venezuelan specialty that packs shredded beef, black beans, white rice, sweet plantains, and cheese into the pouch! Read more
Tried the arepas...amazing. loved the Pabellon (sp?):-).loaded with a braised shredded beef...plantains and black beans. Delicious and inexpensive...also really liked the coconut milk shake...
The pabellon arepa, empanada and dinner are all amazing. The empanadas here are specially good although I’d usually go with the arepa due to it being more filling.
If you're trying to avoid all the grease that naturally oozes out of the corn pocket goodness that is an arepa, get it as a plate on the side. Just as tasty and not as messy.
