What more can you say? It's CHICAGO! They did a good job on the movie, but to see it live is an experience. Do not expect the story line to be exactly the same as the movie, but GO SEE IT!
This is the only Broadway theater built diagonally so that it could accomodate the most number of seats possible for the awkward shape of the plot of land it was built on. A true New York original!
Great musical . Amy S. did a great job as Roxie Hart as well as the whole cast. Billy Ray Cyrus's singing was superb, he just has to add a lil more Razzle to his physical performance. Loved the show!!
Go see this dazzling musical in the Ambassador Theatre, a New York CityLandmark! To get discounted tickets, try the TKTS booth on Times Square on the day of the performance!
I've been in theaters all over the world, and this is one of the most uncomfortable ones yet. The seats are cramped and low. Chicago was nice, but the choreography was not at all how I expected.
The show Chicago on stage is different than the movie, some I've never heard before, the cast was terrific, the woman that played roxie&velma where fantastict, billy ray was good as billy the lawyer,
We, having not been to a Broadway show before, didn't realize how expensive the drinks are! $25 for a double. Did come with a nifty sippy cup, so there's that!
Be sure to get to the box office early on the day of the show and use your valid student ID to get tickets for $37. For shows that are sold old, pay $25 for standing room only!
Tickets at Times Square discountoffice were not cheap. Get coupon from one of bunch of internet sites and get tickets in the theater itself. It was 60 vs 105 per ticket.
I'm surprised that the city of New York hasn't investigated this theater for not having adequate toilet facilities. If you need to go you're out of luck. The show was great.
Use tkts booth to get 50 percent off with a portion of proceeds going to charity. The brooklyn tkts (that's how they spell it) booth has more to chose from (less people go to it).
Chicago The Musical was amazing. Clever and witty. The cast kept me entertained till the very last second. Leigh Zimmerman played Velma Kelly too well!
For all your Broadway show needs, check out ilovenytheater.com, or come see me at the Broadway Concierge and Ticket Center at the Times Square Visitor Center (B'way & 47th). See you there!
I enjoyed the show, but the theatre is really run down, didn't look too clean to me,tiny seats, small bathroom, they should do some renovations. Ushers & Bartenders were nice.
