I'm feeling conflicted. Everyone is writing about the amazing crust. I agree...it's nice and chewy. But the burnt charred oven taste is something I've never love in pizza -- and this place has it!!
Lots of delicious dishes here but one item you must get is the Trofie alla Finanziera, it is chestnut trofie finanzieria with sweetbreads, veal brains, chicken liver and marsala.
It's a fairly new restaurant in the area. So there's plenty of seating inside (outside if you're early). There was a bit of a wait to get our order in, but once we did, the food and drinks kept coming
Get here for hh, before 10 kitchen closes on time! Pizza after.... Wines on tap ! Prosecco rose, goes well with tge rabbit. Tonno Di coniglio and super Tuscan with birille Di carne lamb veal pork
Can't remember the last place where quality varied so much by individual item. Unfortunately the bottom end is basically inedible/undrinkable (based on 3 times here).
The pizza was ok, slightly salty and if you're a Manhattan drinker don't try the "IL LAGO"...not great at all... Still working the kinks out at a new place atmosphere...
Horrible service. food takes for ever to come even though the place was empty. We got there at 8 n didn't hit our food till 9. If it wasn't because we were celebrating our bdays with some friends walk
the bartenders cannot handle the sunday crowd. this is the worst service I've had in a very long time. as well... the food was mediocre at best. we didn't finish. I won't be back.
