- BourbonautJune 13, 2018Best. Movie. Theater. Ever! Any theater with wings, the breakfast burger, deviled eggs an awesome beer list, great cocktails and a solid whisk(e)y menu is top of my list.Upvoted Sep 15
- Martin AnguloJuly 15, 2018Check out the bar before your movie starts. A great way to kill time without having to leave the venue. Awesome and friendly employees.
- Kirk HerlitzJanuary 12, 2016If you get there early, as they suggest, save yourself some time and get a drink at the bar, rather than waiting for service in the theater. It can be pretty slow with everyone piling in at once.
- What's good here? Freaking Everything!!! Almost through the entire food menu & beer selection, though, it is all good!!! FYI, you must try the Alcoholic Milk Shakes!!! My Fav is The El Rey, OMG!!!
- Kyle MeyerFebruary 13, 2016Better places exist for actually watching a movie—the at your seat service ends up making it hard to stay focused on what you actually came for. Beautiful theater, food is eh, beer list is great.
- Beautiful theatre with comfortable seats and a great food/beer selection. Big fan of the Texas locations, excited to see what's to come in the future here! Suggest the popcorn 👍🏻👍🏻
- Boozy milkshakes and amazing cocktails! Super friendly staff and servers. Incredible movie lineup. Some smaller intimate theaters and a state-of-the-art large theater. This place is extremely special!
- Marisa LownApril 10, 2016A bit pricey but a beautiful renovated theater. If you arrive early, grab a drink in the bar before your show. (No food served at the bar though.)
- The best movie watching experience around. Delicious snacks and drinks (including alcohol) delivered straight to your seat! Don’t miss the truffle popcorn.
- Great theater and terrific beer! Get a 22 oz beer. Fewer trips for your server, and more time to enjoy the movie.
- This is how movie theaters should be. Reserved seats. Food and drink brought to your seat whenever you want. Real butter on the popcorn.
- Love Alamo! Food is great. Good beer selection. Pro tip: Popcorn is HUGE so ask for a box to bring the leftovers home.
- I will only watch movies in a theater if it has full menu and bar service now. Such a fun experience and the food and drinks are great. Their new burrata pizza is super yummy.
- Go here for a boozy brunch with a movie throughout. Tips: arrive 20 minutes before showtime, and pre-write your second order card so you don't have to think mid-film -- you can just raise it!
- Wilson Favre-DelerueJuly 24, 2016Main theatre is beautiful and the selection varies from blockbusters to independent film. The "at your seat" food and drinks concept is fun though it detracts from the film and the food is passable.
- Kirk HerlitzOctober 13, 2018They've really perfected the movie going experience. You never have to wait in line for anything if you buy your tickets in advance from their app. Go to your seats and they take it from there!
- The cookies in the Cookie Trio are really good, especially the peanut butter and banana! Good for one person to enjoy throughout a movie or for 2-3 people to split.
- Go up to the mezzanine to play pinball including The Big Lebowski pinball!
- Make sure to get there a half hour before show time to watch the special screen content that Alamo puts together, sometimes it's even better than the movie!
- the theater is gorgeous, and it's pretty fun to drink a beer while watching movies on the big screen. new favorite movie theater in the city.
- Eagles dream boozy milkshake + Parmesan truffle popcorn. And turn your damn phone OFF!
- Not only is Alamo my go-to theater in San Francisco, but’s one of my favorite places in all the city. Pinball, a great bar, video rentals...it’s such a great place. Check out Terror Tuesdays!
- Peter RuzevichAugust 7, 2017Favorite movie theater hands down. The food is the best I've had in a theater (take that Kabuki) and worth the exorbitant price as tickets are cheaper (take that AMC). Love this place.
- Super glad to see them host Lost Weekend. Hated seeing them go down in the bougie Mission flames. The theatre itself is exemplary. The cookie trio may be the best value on the menu.
- Tom MaxwellOctober 21, 2019One of the best cinemas in SF hands down. Food & alcohol service to your seat throughout the show. Some movies even have their own speciality menu items.
- Danielle DavisAugust 18, 2017My favorite cinema ever. Super comfy chairs, food and drink served to you throughout the film and an overall great artsy vibe. Far superior to your standard movie theatre.
- Get the queso if it’s your first time! Then the buffalo cauliflower. Pro tip: Always order waters with your order for free!
- Wizard of Oz is the must play machine here to check out the cutting edge of pinball tech. They also have Pinball Magic which is cheeky and fun 90s era machine.
- David RMarch 18, 2017Top quality movie theater with comfy reservable seats, food to order, and drinks. Ideal for a date night.
- Ms HeleneAugust 8, 2018Buffalo cauliflower & beet salad. Architectural gem. Small pinball section and cocktail bar within.
- Shaved brussels sprouts salad is my favorite, and also big enough to share. (Aside, the pear salad was about half the size.)
- Love the movie selection - old and new. The cocktails and food are awesome, but the service is consistently off. Long wait, other people's food, wrong check, no check - too many things to count.
- Besides of the awesomeness of getting Alamo Drafthouse in California, the salads are big enough to share so get one, some wings and a milkshake. Dinner for two!
- All the theaters have wonderful silver screen goodness, and the smaller ones are larger than you think! The food is 💯 and the staff are lovely. I love this theater!
- Awesome place to see a movie. Great projection and sound. Full service at your seat. Delicious food and drinks, and very friendly staff.
- Timothy CavanaughMay 18, 2016Beautifully restored building, reserved seats (w/ small table) plenty of space between rows, table service (food & drink)...what's not to love?
- Love this place!! Fun to grab a cocktail in the bar before catching a good movie in comfy seats whilst eating great food
- Comfortable seats, the largest popcorn serving known to man, and always worth getting there early to watch the pre-movie content.
- JennyMarch 14, 2016Overpriced but tasty food, the only place in SF where I've seen Nashville hot chicken, great beer/beverage list, $3 cans of beer, giant comfy seats
- Theaters 1 and 5 are the best spots to see films. Other theaters are a bit too small for my taste. Great food and service!
- Peter BoltonAugust 7, 2018Excellent and beautified place to watch a film, have a beer with friends and play pinball.
- New seats, great food and drink. I can't go back to other theaters now. Look out for the special events during the week
- Ingrid FraserMay 28, 2016Don't eat the pear salad, it was the worst salad I have had at any eatery. The popcorn with the truffle and parmesan is amazing! Our server was good as well!
- Ashley MowreyMarch 5, 2017This place has all the things you want, beer, food, and films. However, it's so expensive and the food comes out like warm. The only plus is the reserved seating.
- Beautiful place and excellent menu. Raising the bar for theaters in SF.
- Doesn't cost any more than a regular theater, but they have big comfy seats and they serve food & BEER!
- c0uPJanuary 9, 2016Gorgeous interior, projection and sound. The love of cinema is evident in many details.
- One of my favorite theaters in SF. The cobb salad, buffalo cauliflower, and milkshakes.
