Miami/South Florida Favorites

Jenna Rose Robbins: Great guac, super-rich mushroom fricassee, and delish stuffed zucchini blossoms, but the avocado martini was a disappointment.

Jenna Rose Robbins: The plates may be small, but they're filling. Mushroom and grits was delish but very decadent. Definitely getting the stuffed zucchini blossoms and guac again.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Super fluffy quiches and nice side salad. I was surprised how much it felt like a real Parisian brasserie. Wish they had savory crepes though. Only saw sweet on the menu.

Jenna Rose Robbins: My go-to place for breakfast, brunch, and sandwiches. Place looks like nothing from the road, but the food is definitely above average, esp. the tomato, arugula & brie sandwich and huevos rancheros.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Meatless souvlaki was delish. My carnivore sister said it tasted like the real thing. Hummus is one of the best I've ever had.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Some of the best coffee I've had outside of Central America. Chill atmosphere and pleasant outdoor dining areas.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Super-comfy theater. The deluxe screens come with full wait service and reclining chairs. Grab a drink in the lobby before the show.

Jenna Rose Robbins: There were so many pieces I fell in love with here. A nice range of paintings and sculpture.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Love how secluded this place feels. Parking is on the opposite side of the road from the entrance.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Delightfully tacky. It's overpriced, but the laughs you get can be worth it. Avoid the guacamole. Drinks are potent.

Jenna Rose Robbins: Rockin' bar scene. Several vegetarian options aren't on the menu, so be sure to ask waitstaff.

Jenna Rose Robbins: This place gets ratings more for the atmosphere than the food, although the grub ain't bad. Not many vegetarian options, but they'll make off-menu items so you won't starve.

Jenna Rose Robbins: You really can't come to South Florida without visiting the Everglades at least once.

Jenna Rose Robbins: When it's cold, the manatees congregate here due to the warm-water runoff from the plant. Whether or not they deign to give you a good view of them is another story altogether.

Jenna Rose Robbins: The bar scene is reminiscent of old-school Miami, rather than the flash and rowdiness of current-day South Beach. Unwind at the bar and grab some grub after dealing with the hoi polloi.
