Go! Magazine: Half Crown is the new Urban Chestnut's idea of a "session IPA," meaning it has the dry-hopped aroma and flavor of an American India pale ale but with a restrained alcohol content. (Evan S. Benn)
Marcus McKay: The beer here is delicious. Lots of outdoor seating. A great place to stop whether on the Katy Trail or the wine trail. I've heard the food is good too.
Go! Magazine: 2nd Shift's beers, like the popular Hibiscus Wit and Art of Neurosis IPA, are available around St. Louis. If you're in New Haven, stop by the brewery's tasting room for a tour and a beer or two.
Go! Magazine: St. Louis' newest brewery and tasting room is set to have a soft opening Nov. 11. Try the Bona Fide Imperial Espresso Stout, made with vanilla beans and locally roasted Goshen coffee.
Glenn Logan: This out of the way Micro Brew Pub is an excellent addition to the St. Louis beer scene. They have solid beers in several categories and the bar is a great place to hang out with or without friends.
Kent Ahrens: Beer is pretty hit-or-miss here. The style you loved last visit may be pretty bland this one or vice-versa. However, it's still far, and I mean FAR, better than Buttweiper!
