Zina Alam: Open Saturdays - awesome little flea with food options too. Fort Greene is also a lovely neighbourhood to explore.

Zina Alam: Wonderful little Trinidadian place. Delicious roti/wraps and breakfast items.

Zina Alam: Best place for pastrami/ deli meats - i think its better than Katz's.

Zina Alam: Great little promenade walk - and takes you to Dumbo, cool area to check out.

Zina Alam: Great for picnic, biking, sitting by the lake, and also roller-skating! (there is a rink)

Zina Alam: Check before you go, but I believe this is open on Sundays in the summer - awesome outdoor food extravaganza, definitely worth checking out.

Zina Alam: New Senegalese place in Brooklyn, and actually very good if you don't want to trek it out to Harlem. Much better than Joloff that is nearby too.

Zina Alam: Fun bar with outdoor seating + good dancefloor

Zina Alam: The original branch - there's a bigger branch on Nevin's St now with a rooftop alfresco bit - but this branch is great too even if small. Order the salted crack caramel.

Zina Alam: Bright little Haitian joint - food is pretty good, but just nice place to brunch too.

Zina Alam: Outdoor/ Rooftop bar with good pizza - good place to stop when you're in the area/ doing a BK Bridge park walk!

Zina Alam: Great place for dinner - really nice vibe too.

Zina Alam: This place looks like a hole in the wall, but their food is surprisingly yummy. I love the Spicy Thai Basil chicken fried rice and the salt and pepper fried shrimp. It's also super near home!

Zina Alam: I like this place best for laundry (the drop-off is super cheap) - but there are plenty of laundromats closer to the apartment. Up to you!
