ZenFoodster: No frills shack. Chowda’s watery & oily but full of fish, clams & potato..better w/ crackers added. Get 1 of NE’s best Crab or Double (1/2 lb good for 2) Lobster rolls on perfectly buttered split-tops
ZenFoodster: Located in Perkins Cove w/ lovely views. OK Dry, low-fat Cole Slaw w/o mayo or too much vinegar. Didn’t get a chance to try their talked-about potato salad but Corn (from FL) on the Cob was good.
Nick Woolf: Nice outdoor seating on patio to the right of shop, great coffee and pastries. Refrigerated sandwiches aren't the best but a decent snack if you're in a hurry. Overall, awesome spot for coffee in OGT
ZenFoodster: Good NE clam chowda, cole slaw & lobster roll (1/4 or 1/2 lb meat). Stars are fried scallops, onion rings & lobster stew (more watery lobster bisque w/ tons of meat). Trying Strawberry cake next time
ZenFoodster: Blueberry ice cream was decent, especially for a 2-for-1 ice cream deal from Clam Shack. Note: coupon map was inaccurate. Store front is on Ocean Ave across the street from Ben & Jerry's.
ZenFoodster: Average 15-hole mini-golf for $8/adult but awesome ice cream shop run by same family for ~30 yrs! Love the Frozen Pudding (rum raisin ice cream w/ bits of dried fruit) & the Red Raspberry Swirl. ;9
ZenFoodster: Roadside shack w/ 1 of the freshest (& sweet meat) crab rolls I've had so far! And LOVE female lobsters -w/ smaller middle feelers- for ROE (orangy-red when cooked)!
ZenFoodster: The BIGGEST Bull Moose of them all! Mind-blowing selection of new & used music...you'll need weeks to go through everything! They have a book section too.
ZenFoodster: Great brunch/comfort food: Arnold Palmer, fried green tomatoes, gumbo+Waffle plate: over-easy eggs w/ bacon & regular syrup ($2 extra for Maine maple syrup) + a side of 2 sausage links ($3.50 extra)!

ZenFoodster: Loved our stay last yr here & coming back again for the proximity to downtown Portland & harbour shops, bars & restaurants. Shuttle service around town is an added perk! :)

ZenFoodster: Maybe I've been spoiled by the many great sushi joints (eg. Yasuda, Gari, 15 East, etc) in NYC but I wasn't wow'ed here. "Creative" rolls & dishes were overly-mayo'ed or sauced + there was no uni.

ZenFoodster: More of a traditional Maine lobster roll. For DT Portland, it’s decent but pales in comparison to the MANY great 1's @ roadside lobster shacks outside town, where you'll get more bang for your $!

ZenFoodster: Lobster Bisque has lumps & not enuff sherry. Crabmeat Roll wasn’t fresh. Thanks MLS for taking it off our bill & comp'ing us a lobster roll, to make amends. But best NE seafood is still outside town!

ZenFoodster: If ur salt-sensitive, Tot-tines aren’t 4 U but tots (alone) are g8! Come EARLY, if U don’t want LONG waits, drunken 20-smthg’s & fights breaking out. Tonite, chef stopped cooking 2x to escort ppl out
Beer Garden · Downtown Portland · 126 tips and reviews
ZenFoodster: A recommendation from a beer lover friend. Not too hard to find but had an underground feel. Great outdoor space & beer list w/ Belgians. Not my fave since I’m a cocktail gal & they have none. :(

ZenFoodster: Get house-made curried ckn salad sammie Tokyo P: perfect mix of tangy & spicy ckn salad w/ raisins, spinach & provolone (but better if bit more filling) all wrapped in a thin & toasted pita.
ZenFoodster: If ur salt-sensitive, place is NOT for U! Fry bread & Uni Butter, Lobster Toast, Pork & Crab Mee Goreng & Wonton Noodle Soup all inedibly salty, overpriced & none captured flavors of SE Asian dishes!
ZenFoodster: My fave shack w/ outdr seating & view of Casco Bay. Super fresh & cheap: fried scallops, crab+lobster rolls, lobsters right off boat! Clam Chowda's full of clams. + BEST blueberry ice cream ever! ;9
ZenFoodster: Follow painted lobsters to Lobster Pound (only 4 steamed lobsters, clams & soups). Skip Soups-watery & lacking in taste. Great steamed Littlenecks + lobsters but wish U got ur pick of M or F lobster.
ZenFoodster: Blueberry & Rum Raisin lovers rejoice...THE BEST homemade ice cream I’ve ever had (IMHO as a world-traveled NYC gal)! A 5-star MUST-TRY if you're in the area! Cute village by the sea too. :)
ZenFoodster: Known for their #1 of Maine-style lobster roll (w/ 1 WHOLE lobster), this roadside shack in Wiscasset (right before crossing bridge E to Edgecomb) can't be missed..1-hr long line just to order!
ZenFoodster: #1 of Maine-style lobster roll (w/ 1 WHOLE lobster)! 2nd fave: Grilled Haddock sandwich. Scallops were very fresh & onion rings ok..except batter was too thick. Mayoey crab roll w/ lotsa meat.
Seafood Restaurant · Downtown · 30 tips and reviews
ZenFoodster: Pricier tourist trap w/ nicest H2Oront view in Bar Harbour! Must try: Clam chowder - more NE (Boston-style) than Maine-style. Crab roll was meaty but drowned in lotsa mayo. Fries were frm a frozen bag
ZenFoodster: OPEN daily til 7pm, affordable SoPo curbside-pickup “Gas N Grass” medical cannabis dispensary has an endless list of lovely edibles, flower, vapes, etc., isn’t on Weedmaps & takes cash / debit only.
