most of the teachers play Coldplay and say every sentence like its a question and inform you that "humans are like, really complex." oh, the sacrifices I make for sliding scale yoga...
Great yoga spot. $2 to rent a mat and the class is donation based. Come at least 20 min early to get a good spot. Each class varies in difficulty so be ready for a surprise!
90 minute power vinyasa on Sundays are my favorite, and NYC's best yoga bargain. Get there at least 15 minutes early, and BYO mat (though they do provide them). Pay nicely.
Love it here! Get there at least 15 minutes early to get a good spot. The classes in the morning and afternoon work up a mild sweat, but from 6 o'clock on its workout time! Go then for the best sweat.
Yoga is the perfect workout for college students because it's simultaneously challenging and relaxing. Don't worry about your budget at Yoga to the People – donate as much or as little as you can.
This free studio makes Vinyasa yoga accessible to everyone. Even though classes can be crowded, the come-one-come-all spirit puts everyone in a good mood.
My favorite yoga studio in the city. It is donation based and does not take reservations. So show up early to get a good spot. I like the 3rd floor better. Expect it to be crowded.
I went here for my first yoga class ever. I was sore for two days afterward but totally understand the hype. If you're thinking of going, DO. You will be hooked
Good place if you know what you're doing. Not recommend if you are new as the classes are so packed it's impossible for the teachers to actually do anything but yell out poses and tell you to breathe
Staying healthy is about the mind as well as the body, so here’s a great chance to exercise both! The donation-based class is appropriate for both beginners and more advanced yoga students.
My favor classes are 9 on weeknights. Never too crowded its a perfect way to wind down after a long day. Get there 10 minutes prior and you'll be fine. Wknd classes, get there 20-30 min before.
arrive 15 min before, take a few min to settle in, to your yoga, whatever that means: give yourself the full hour. then sign the petition: yoga can't be owned, can it? Read more
The studio offers purely donation-based classes to all types of people! The open-embrace philosophy and relaxed energy keeps the studio alive by word of mouth.
This place is just okay. It gets crowded and the teachers are just okay- but it is pay what you wish- so you get what you pay for. Still amazing classes here are possible.
