W: Sail among the huge 1000 year old icebergs in the picturesque scenery of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. If you are lucky you might even see some seals!
W: It's a deep lagoon, accommodating enormous blocks of ice floating in it. The lagoon is particularly beautiful when light glints on the floating ice. When an iceberg has just broken away, you'll be able to see the gorgeous dark blue color of the ice.
W: See the famous Geysir as well as spurting Strokkur.
W: The geyser Strokkur spouts water as high as 40 m (131 ft) few minutes! Geysir is named for The Great Geysir, or Stori-Geysir, which has been dormant since 1916 when it suddenly ceased to spout. It came to life only once again in 1935, and as quickly went back to sleep. Now the attraction at Geysir is Strokkur (The Churn), another geyser 100 meters south of the Great Geysir, which erupts at regular intervals every 6 minutes or so and its white column of boiling water can reach as high as 20-30 meters. It is mesmerizing to watch as the water churns, the bubble finally appearing and just as quickly breaking as the geyser explosively erupts into the air.The whole area is a geothermal park sitting on top of a vast boiling cauldron. Belching sulfurous mud pots of unusual colors, hissing steam vents, hot and cold springs, warm streams, and primitive plants can all be found here.
W: This milky-blue hot spring stays warm all year round, and its natural silica mud does wonders for your skin! A perfect way to relax after your flight.

W: The mixture of geothermal activity, ice and fire, means that there are numerous hot springs all over Iceland. Visit the beautiful therapeutic Blue Lagoon, swim in one of the oldest still-standing pools in the country (Seljavallalaug), or enjoy the bath in one of the wild geothermal springs in the middle of nowhere (like in Landmannalaugar, Laugarvallalaug or Reykjadalur).

W: From the observation tower of Hallgrimskirkja Cathedral you can enjoy the beautiful aerial view of Reykjavik and scenery beyond the city.
W: Visit the landmarks of Reykjavik, like Sun Voyager monument and the Harpa Concert Hall. Dynamic, original cultural scene is inspired by unique nature of Iceland. Local export musicians like Björk or Sigur Rós have risen to international fame.

W: Iceland's newest attraction: the manmade ice cap glacier located high on Europe's second largest glacier, Langjokull. Tunnels and chambers have been carved into the ice, and as you explore, you'll learn about glacial exploration and essential global warming research.
W: Eyjafjallajökull is a glacier with a volcano underneath its ice that disrupted European air travel during its 2010 eruption
W: A gorgeous black sand beach with some stunning ocean vistas. You can, for example, admire the picturesque rocks Reynisdrangar that defy the volatile Atlantic Ocean as the waves crash upon them.
W: Right next to these enormous sand plains, you'll see the impressive Vatnajökull glacier.past a large extension of black lava sand plains, the results of a single volcanic eruption. This area also holds one of the largest pseudo-crater areas in the world.
W: In the National Park of Vatnajökull, an area of unexpected vegetation between the white sheets of ice and the black sands. You'll be right next to the glacier here, and from here you can see Iceland’s highest peak, Hvannadalshnúkur (2110 m).
W: The Golden Circle takes its name from the Golden Waterfall - Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most stunning waterfalls. In wintertime, it looks even more breathtaking as the white water thunders through blocks of ice and snow. As you first approach the falls, the crevice is obscured from view, so that it appears that the mighty Hvítá river simply vanishes into the earth. As you continue along the misty path Gullfoss, meaning “Golden Falls”, suddenly comes into view. With a 105-foot double-cascade, Gullfoss is by far Europe’s most powerful waterfall. On a sunlit day such as the day we visited, the mist clouds surrounding the hammering falls are filled with dozens of rainbows, providing an unparalleled spectacle of color and motion.
W: Kerið is another stop along the Golden Circle. Kerið is a crater lake created from a cone volcano which erupted and emptied its magma reserve. Once the magma was depleted, the weight of the cone collapsed into the empty magma chamber. The caldera, like the other volcanic rock in the area, is composed of a red (rather than black) volcanic rock. The mossy green vegetation along the steep walls and the opaque and strikingly vivid aquamarine water of the lake below make for a breathtaking view as you teeter on the edge.
