I would suggest going by day as by night, at least when I went, there was nothing to be seen. I think this could be an alternative to the St. Stephens Cathedral, but I would suggest the cathedral

Place felt like a deserted wasteland in the middle of winter. Probably has more life in the peak season but from my experience, January is not the best time to visit.

It was the worst experience that we had in Vienna. Mediocre view, quite expensive. If you want to enjoy the city from above, go to the Le Loft cafe-bar. AVOID
