Visit Tuscany: This is the oldest Medici Villa,in Mugello, the birthplace of the family. The current look of the Villa was gaven by Prince Borghese who bought the palace in 1864.The castle is now a private property.

Visit Tuscany: Forte Belvedere, founded in 1590 and built by Buontalenti, was created to defend the city, to hold the treasury of the Medici family. It was connected to Palazzo Pitti and Palazzo Vecchio.

Visit Tuscany: Its name is inspired by the frescos inside "Still calms the wind" (1623). The villa was the residence of the last descendant, Anna Maria Luisa dei Medici, that created the garden inspired by Boboli.
