The main square and market place in Marrakesh's medina quarter (old city). Tons of fun things to see. Stay away from the henna ladies, snake charmers, and monkeys. Haggling is a game; enjoy it!
Snake charmers, dancers, live music, open markets, and lots of food. This place has it all and it's a lot of fun. Be prepared to have a thicker skin as people will try to sell you everything.
Fresh orange juice for 4 dirham during the day, street performers and sculptures and outdoor eating by night. The heart of Marrakech for over a century.
Ignore the aggressive merchants and sit at the stalls where everybody speaks Arabic. Also try to avoid later at night and less crowded stalls where food has been stagnating.
Get a seat on one of terraces facing the square for the best view of sunset&the beginning of the hustle and bustle soon to take place on the square below
Remember:Bargain& bargain.Stay away the women will try draw Hana style tatto on your hands, they will ask 500-700dirham without you allow. My friends suffered cheaty like this. She has to pay 100dhs
Worth checking it out bit if you are easily getting annoyed by restaurantstaff trying to get you into their place, skip the middle food stalls. We had good food at No. 30 and they were very friendly
It’s a very busy place full of life at night, food stalls, fresh fruit juices, herbs and spices, entertainers, it’s a place you should experience. Just enjoy 👌🏼📍
A large area, a lot of people of different nationalities. It seems that there is never fades life-day or night! open-air restaurants, barbecue, musicalperformances, magicians, fortune-tellers and so on
If u didn't come here for chaos you're in the wrong place. It's brilliant. The touts are good humored, do the same. Know the stall u want. We liked 31, 1, and 14. Happy hour at La Salama all night!
The real Moroccan Marrakech experience. Even if you're not comfortable eating there & worry a lot about hygiene, it's still a must see & explore! Usually very filled with tourists from all around!
Feels like the heart of the city, filled with tourists and locals alike. Watch out for the crowds. Don't try to take pictures or video of performers, as their people will ask you to pay for that.
Better to have only a look at the apparently delicious food and take your guts safe to a more conventionalrestaurant. This square's crazy and attractive anyway
Very interesting place just to walk around. Beware of the strangers guiding you, walk the other way. Highly recommend eating the eggbread (with young guys making it) 8 MAD and fresh juice stalls.

As everyone has said, keep away from snake charmers luring you. One can admire while walking. The OJ that is spoken so much about it only helps if you know French. Bargain always before you buy!!
Snake charmers, henna artists by day - cool at night - incense, spices, food stalls are crazy busy, music, storytellers, drummers. Watch your bags. Henna ladies are very persistent!
Please ignore all the hustle and scams here. It is the main attraction of Marrakech but don't let hustlers to ruin it. The best time to go here is just before sunset.
Chaotic but fun. Make sure to stay away from the snake charmers as they will aggressively ask you for money. I simply walked by one while recording a video and they chased after me demanding cash.
Great hangout for both locals and tourist. Pick your own food stall and don't get distracted by the many hustlers. The orange juice is a scam with lots of water and refined sugar.
Well worth visiting, but do not eat at the food stalls it taste like💩and they charge way too much. Pretty agressive waiters who push you to their tables. Not a pleasant experience.
Crowded in the evening, a touristic place of Marrakech w affordableoutdoor dining places w sitting areas, shops, dancers and snake charmers. Be prepared for the hassle.
Stall #31: good sausages, tomato sauce questionable (for hygiene). The problem comes with the bill: triple check the prices coz they'll always try to charge you a lot more... 30% more in my case.
This is the best place of Marrakech. Love the atmospher and the nightlife. You can eat overhere, be charmed by snake encantador and the smeel of food get the place surreal. :-) #Spezio #blog
Open square for anything related to city; food, snake talkers, acrobats, horse carriages. Very crowded in the evening. People are a bit aggressive even for a tip. Be careful with your belongings.
Sooooo many people here. This place is hopping. Try one of the food stands when it gets dark. Food is almost the same, regardless which number you chose.
Marrakech’s bustling centrepiece. It’s easy to be overwhelmed, but embrace the craziness of it by eating at the pop-up market, engaging with the snake charmers and haggling with hawkers. Read more
Great mixed grill at stall 41. Had some nice food at stall 1 too. Walking through the pushy waiters isn't easy, but keep on smiling! :-) It's worth visiting and eating here in the evening.
Check this place out at night, its got an amazing atmosphere. The smoke from the food stalls rise over the thousands of people, story tellers, games, merchants and hustlers.
Stall #50 for orange juice! They will give you an extra portion when you finished, to go back next day!! Nice guys and worth it. They will prepare it in front of you when you ask
Eating out at the food stands at night in the Djema el Fnaa, the pulsing heart of the city, amazing. Choose a stand that is crowded and you will be happy
The charmers expect money for pictures taken. Trying the foods does come with stomach warning sometimes. Amazing place but feels like a place you should be careful.
(Show more)
