Maokong Gondola Taipei Zoo Station

The gondola sits 6, but 4 will be comfortable. Not ventilation is bad, utilized only the small window open hence it can be quiet stuff. Beside this, you can realty enjoy the tranquil environment

Walk around the zoo then get the gondola to the top. Line up for the crystal floor cabin (not always available). Once you get to the top try one of the many tea houses around.

Worth the 120 especially the crystal cabin but you can also get the BR015 bus from the MRT or get it back down. Taxis will take you down for 75pp

don't take the clear bottom gondola at night since u can't get a good pic. lots of yummy snack vendors when u get to the top.

Come during the weekdays where the queues are a lot shorter. At the top (Maokong Station) you'll find plenty of teahouses to enjoy a quiet afternoon.

Buy oyster prepaid card get the discount on the ride as well as the subway ticket. Worth buying!!!

There are so many tea houses with great views of Taipei. Plan the night time views are amazing. Just beware that winds and rains will force the gondola to close

Nice scenery and definitely the best alternative if going up the mountain. NOT NICE IF WINDY! Take MRT (brown line) to Taipei Zoo Station and follow signs

Cost about 120 yuan to get all the way to the top. Take the taxi down because it's only 70 yuan per person.

Entrance ticket very cheap! Finally saw panda but gotta queue for kinda long and you just can take few seconds glimpse of the panda star only.

Two options of car selection. Eg crystal or non crystal. Basically is referring to the bottom of the car.

Rainy day and can't clearly see the view. :( hope 1 day they will install wiper on each gondola for better view esp on rainy day ✌️

The Gondola is closed for maintenance every Monday. If it's a public holiday on Monday, then it'll be closed on the following day.
