    As a precursor to one of the best sushi dinners you'll have in NJ, get the grilled yellowtail collar. It's a must have and reminiscent of a good izakaya snack in Japan.

    One of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in the area. Try the shrimp shumi, oyster salad, soft shell crab salad, ramen or sashimi! You really can't go wrong. BYOB!

    Zagat has rated Shumi one of the 10 best restaurants in NJ. Japanese food and sushi lovers rejoice - this is the real deal. The chef flies in all of his fish from Japan! How's that for first class?

    One of the best sushi places outside of Japan. The staff is friendly and helpful. There really isn't anything specific to recommend because everything is awesome.

    Authentic Japanese food from a traditionally trained Japanese chef/owner. V high quality fish. Love the salmon skin shushi and golden crab. V nice miso soup.

    It was terrible. Expensive, bland sushi. It seems to be highly rated but I wish someone would tell me why.
