Prepare yourself for a great day at the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park! While you're here, make sure you take a tour of the historic lighthouse that dates back to 1825.

I love coming to the beach here. The kids love that the beach has no waves and it's not very deep. Not to mention it's very picturesque with the lighthouse in the background.

The best snorkeling spot that I've tried thus far has been by the rocks that reach out past the shore next to the lighthouse. One time a manatee swam right past me! All sorts of interesting wildlife.

If you actually want to go to a beach for the sand and beach (and not to people watch) this is the best beach in the city, with the bonus of a historic lighthouse. For people watching, do South Beach.

Good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Perfect public beach, and if you like lighthouses then this is a good place to visit.

Come early, have lunch at Lighthouse Cafe. Gets very crowded in the afternoon. Best family beach in the area.

Uncover the many hidden bicycle trails at the Bill Baggs State. Request a map from the park ranger at the main entrance.

It's a thin beach that has some nature reserved areas so if you want a good spot on the beach get there early.
