Finally I had the chance to eat in the original one and didn't go weong with it. Try steak tartare as starter, get a rib-eye with a good wine and you're good to go.
Love the South African hospitality, very good service despite previous tips left. Had the Giant Meat Kebab and was very impressed by the quality and taste. Cheap compared to UK prices.
Sit inside. Order from the butcher. Grassed is better than grain. Go slightly larger and make it med rare with pepper crust. Skip the starch. Have a beer
I recommend the garlic snails & rib eye. To be honest I think they were having an off day or we had a terrible waiter. Our mains were cold and an error my husband's side & it simply never came.
My friend's beef ribs looked really good. My kudu arrived pretty much raw. When I asked them for just another minute on the grill, they completely overcooked it. Wine was excellent.
If you want great RSA meat -- you will NOT be disappointed - go up to the counter to choose your own cut. The wine cage is first class -- with a lot of new vintners to investigate.
Food was great but hostess told us to book a table because they were full or they couldn't help us. When we arrived 1.5hrs later for our booking the place was empty... ?
