The best burger I've ever had in my life. That home styleburger tastes so damn good after two years abroad. I missed your sloppy perfection, Golden Star.
Been going there since 1990. Family run and consistently good burgers. When you walk in you feel like you stepped back into the 60's and that's a good thing. Nothing fancy just great food!
Steak on a kaiser was pretty good - good amount of tasty tender beef, with tasty sloppy sauce and pretty big. Strawberry shake was rather icey and had a strange artificial flavour.
Unfortunately, no wheelchair ramps for in yet; however, give the guys behind the counter the heads up and they’ll be more than happy to carry you in on your wheelchair through the rear entrance.
Go for the banquet burger. Get the home madeBBQ sauce and sautéed onions when getting condiments. Personally, I thought the fries were soggy and not that good and I'll skip them next time.
Golden Star has been turning out good, simple burgers since the '60s. The homemade all-star burger is charbroiled and deliciously juicy. ($6.70) ~The Richmond Hill Post, Aug 2012
Fries were thick cut - crispy but a bit under salted. Buffalo wings weren't fresh and tasted a little off (there was a slight taste of Frank's Hot Sauce)
