Their sweets are not too sweet and beautiful. My family always appreciates when I bring them home. The salesladies do a great job with gift wrapping. Sign up for their loyalty card!

Legit wagashi (Japanese sweets). They have seasonal items. I like their jellies and casutera. Their Muscat jelly is really good frozen.

    Been here 10+ times
In Tokyo, their stuff is already pricey; imagine once it is imported and sold here in the US. Some of their offering cannot be found elsewhere in the city. Kasutera and Rusks are delicious.

In spring check if they have the Sakura mochi - a rice cake with red bean paste wrapped in a pickled Sakura leaf.

This place has mochi, wagashi, all the lovely Japanese treats that you usually only find in Japantown. Great store right on Market Street - just opened today/Aug 28/09.

If you like the flavor of matcha (green tea), get the Maccha Busse (Sponge Cake). Intense flavor, awesome, incredibly soft texture. Yummy!
