Supply and demand dictates pricing at this rustic-vibed tavern. Be prepared to wait 45 min+, spend $12 in soup, and love every minute of it. Half/Half Green ChileArtichoke Soup and Pie 👌
All I can say-chilled artichoke w/aioli, a bowl of artichokecream soup and another bowl of green chilicream soup (mix together or savor by mixed spoonfuls) and the unique ollallie pie ala mode!
The deep-fried oysters are a must!! I get jealous of the people who don't have to drive and can imbibe in one of the fabulous-looking martinis. Sit in the bar, even if you can't have a drink.
Esquire: '03 J.Beard award for classic American restu. Think: artichoke soup, petrale filet of sole, olallieberry pie. Bar is super fun, w/cheap, tasty martinis & typically packed w/colorful locals
If you order their crabcioppino, and you should, prepare for a deliciously messy meal but they’ll provide a cloth bib and hot towels with which to clean yourself after the feast.
The fish specials are great, the cioppino excellent, but seriously, you are here for the soup and the pie. Green Chile soup, bread, a local beer, pie, and coffee.
Green chile soup, artichoke soup (you can mix them), ollalieberry pie. September 2021: takeout & outdoor dining only (order & pay first). 10 picnic tables in the lot.
Start with the half-and-half soup (artichoke & green chiles!), mopped up with warm sourdough. Move onto one of the daily fish specials, and finish off with the olallieberry pie – to go, if you must.
This place is the best, despite the dead animals on the wall. My friend and I were here taking a break from backpacking and two separate staff members offered to give us a ride. So friendly!
Blackened fish w/eggs over easy for breakfast. Funny game we play with the staff-no matter how often we come in they never seem prepared w/the fresh fish menu. So we ask & if they know the fish we'll
Came here with high hopes, but ended up with expensive and mediocre food in an outdated atmosphere. Go across the street to Taqueria de Amigos for cheap, delicious mexican food.
