FAVORITE RAMEN PLACE IN SHANGHAI. Don't know why the Foursquare rating is so low. Get the Green King- a mind boggling east/west fusion bowl of goodness. Original and Shoyu also great. Add an egg!

Squid ink noodles are too intense for me. Get the butao soup base instead or green king if you want to try an usual take on ramen

Ask for less salt and sauce for Black King, squid ink has its own flavor which should be enough.

Hong Kong ramen restaurant inspired by Japanese tonkotsu ramen. Serve only 300 bowls/day.

Pricey! But it's as authentic as a traditional Japanese Ramen shop as you can get. This isn't the watery soups but almost stew versions. The egg is almost not worth the entry price.
