Caroline .C: Pretty cheap prices. Wouldn't recommend the place if you don't at least know the basic mandarin for asking price, bargaining, etc. Beware of fakes and reject/failed items, check before you buy!
Tom Thai: Lowest price you can get on a men's dress shirt is 80RMB (they'll start you at 120RMB). Lowest on a 2-piece suit is 450RMB (they'll start you at 600RMB or more).
Shanghai Hunter: The cutest part of Shanghai if you are looking for a retreat, walking under the trees, chilling at a coffee shop terrasse, or looking for a gallery and during the night a fancy place to go out.
Ricky Su: One of the Shanghai icon. Check out the dumplings at Lue Bo Lang (3 floors serve diff taste and price ones). Ning Bo Tang Tuan nearby is also good taste.
Sarah Yana Akib: An amazing temple, not many tourist at all. Used to be the temple for seamen praying before going to sea. Take subway line no 4 exit Dalian Road gate 3.
Travel + Leisure: Moganshan Road, Shanghai’s version of SoHo, New York, is a warren of warehouses turned galleries. Among the best: ShanghArt, the avant-garde OV Gallery, and photography-driven M97 Gallery.
naveen: as you walk the streets looking at an avalanche of 'antique' things, it makes you wonder where all this stuff came from! the old cameras and maps are the most interesting finds; heavy with history
Shanghai Hunter: Pets (mostly birds and fish), insects (mostly crickets) and some plants. A nice but small place to go. Don't forget to visit the antique market in Dongtai road too.
Shanghai Hunter: Very beautiful and renovated temple in the middle of Shanghai. Not really interesting in a cultural way but a quick visit can be nice.(Check reviews, wechat: shanghai_hunter and facebook)
