The firecracker shrimp appetizer was perfect. The catfish Po boy was among the best I've ever had. Also of note: The award-winning margaritas are small, but 2/3rds booze.
I had the green chili soup and grilled chicken sandwich and my husband got the catfish and beans. Both were awesome and my husband says it was some of the best food he has had.
Mac and cheese is up there with the best. I can't say enough about the beef ribs. Only two places in SA even have them. The Palmer is light and a great drink with BBQ.
This is more than a bbq joint. Food is surprisingly well made for a casual dining place. 1/4 smoked freebird is juicy. Blackened catfish tacos w/ slaw and sauce are SPLENDID!
This is a "mom stop taking pictures of me" , face!! Lol! I had the spinach , watermelon and feta salad, 1st time was hit this time it was a miss, boooo! Better luck next time.
The fried baby back rib appetizer is innovative and delicious. Never had anything bad here. Other faves are the Mexican corn side, Parmesan pork chops, & the pulled pork sandwich.
Pinto beans were spicy but couldn't stop eating them! Brisket was tender and delicious! Beautiful back room with fireplace! Our waiter Fabian was amazing! Great meal.
Beef ribs are no longer on the menu, the baby backs were good - not great, and the chicken fried steak was mediocre at best - almost burnt and the gravy was questionable “is that gravy?”
