Sonia SJune 6, 2017Mint tea and magic bar were perfect. The bar is a delicious combo of coconut, chocolate and peanut butter! Nice seating by the window on a beautiful day for reading and people watching.

trillateezyDecember 23, 2014There's this pizza that has pesto, butternut squash, goat cheese & honey. Not too heavy, fills you up just enough. Weds is 50% off wine bottles, so grab a friend a split a bottle of bubbly for $8/ea.
New Tryst specials every night of the week, including student specials on Sundays, 50% off bottles of wine on Wednesdays, & a special Tiki menu on Thursdays.
Chelsea C ☀November 4, 2013Very hip, trendy cafe-style restaurant with great coffee, excellent healthy food options, and a pretty decent beer selection as well. Wifi is free. Big couches w/ coffee tables or regular tables.
Hip as fuck, but yet to have a bad meal there. Kudos especially to the Thai chicken soup & butternut squash flatbread! Sandwiches and boozy drinks pretty reliable too.
Great environment! Latte was really delicious and the food was good as well. Lots of comfy seating, free wifi, and patio as well. Definitely a spot you could bring a laptop and work for an hour or so!

Matt BoggsAugust 6, 2020Best/coolest coffee shop in dc to hangout in. Has a very eclectic vibe where you could go there on a date, socialize with a group of friends, or just a solo study/work sesh.
Open when you need it most. Great breakfast selection and pastries. Try the lebneh baguette. If you don't want to be alone go with your laptop (but no wifi during weekends, time to socialize!)

A great, relaxed atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised by the new seating (more sofas). The coffee and expression drinks are well made and the food is simple but tasty. I <3 this place.

Crowded in the afternoon, so bring a charged laptop so you won't need an outlet.

The frozen mochas are perfect for a hot day. And I don't even like cold coffee drinks... but Tryst's are amazing.
I truly enjoy this place and its atmosphere, but if you’re in a hurry, it’s best to go somewhere else that is less crowded and has faster service. Otherwise, sit back, relax, and enjoy.

The new patio is great for people watching whilst snacking on great food and imbibing on great drinks! Love this place! (Full disclosure: I also work here)

Best spot in DC for freelance work. Couches for laptops, good wifi (only after 5p on weekend), good coffee and food. Even some outlets by the wall.

Great atmosphere, tasty sandwiches, and amazing drinks (with animal crackers!).
A place to get a decent lavender latte. Chai latte is... unusual and too sweet but to my surprise I liked it on a cild and windy day.

Try the Pesto Orzo - The small salads at Tryst are phenomenal. If you want a bigger one, the chefs will make it to order - and install it in a wrap if you like
