Honestly, the museum that I liked the most in Amsterdam. One of the best in the world in terms of atmosphere and historical curiosities. Thoroughly recommended.
Huge collection of cultural artifacts from all over the world, but I was missing a common thread. Kicked from one area about religion in the caribean to housing in the middle east without any comment.
I was deeply impressed by old photos of 17th-18th centuries. These people had lived 300-400 years ago but still their eyes has so much life and energy.
In the midst of being refurbished, it's still a cool place to go, especially if you haven't been freaked out by wooden phalluses, creepy waxworks and death masks in a while.
The Van Goh & Rijks get most of the attention when it comes to museums, but this is def worth the visit. It's never busy & most exhibits are interactive which adds to the experience.
