Treasure Island Wines

Produced in‏ a recently designated ava from a hillside vineyard w/ very low yield. Very dark reddish-violet w/ a garnet edge. Good, benchmark california cabernet scent, black fruit w/ hints of black cherry & currant & perhaps just a whiff of dark chocolate in the background. Flavors are consistent w/ the nose, bright & fresh black fruit nicely shaped by zippy acidity. There's a touch of soft tannins. Aged 16 month in both french & american oak. Good now but is made to age well.

Single vineyard dunns ranch reserve bottling. Excellent big & bold merlot in true bordeaux style. Aromas of black current & cherry & just enough french oak to give it a great finish. Pairs well w/ big steak, barbeque pork or lamb

We combined some fruit from the three different pinot lots we produced this year from chileno valley, russian river, & anderson valley & created really nice rose of pinot noir. Surprisingly bright & bold, flavorful ruby rose, brimming w/ notes of strawberries, fresh cherries & a touch of orange peel. Juicy & well-structured, the wine fills the mouth w/ similar fresh, fruit flavors, w/ hints of melon & light brown spice.

Our single vineyard 2010 roussanne displays golden straw color in the glass. On the nose, the wine displays classic honeysuckle & apricot notes, w/ hints of fresh melon & vanilla. Made in traditional château de beaucastel style, w/ one third fermented in french oak & the remainder in stainless steel.

Our single vineyard 2010 chardonnay is rich & complex w/ aromas of citrus & smoky hazelnut. This hearty white is luscious, displaying intense fruit flavors underpinned w/ moderate french oak & roasted nut on the palate in the tradition of a great burgundy.
