Get the blue corn enchiladas with green chile and cheese (no meat) and an over-easy egg on top. Be sure to get a bite of the sopapillas with honey butter as soon as they get to the table piping hot.
Featured in a Heat Seekers season 1 episode. NM chillis are made of pure chillipeppers (no beans & meat like other parts of US). In this restaurant, you get the red and green kind.Sopaipilla uses it.
Traditional, family style Mexican in a neat environment. Friendly, good location, very affordable and quite busy even in the offseason. Good white corn, sopapillas and enchiladas
Beans were great. Chicken in the enchilada was tough. Green chili was good but not hit at all. Cheese enchilada, posole, and sopaipillas were excellent!
Sopapillas are the best thing we had here. Not too expensive and quick to come out, but there are better options for burritos and enchiladas in Santa Fe
Thursday special (Flautas compuestas) is a good choice. Jalapeno poppers r good and u absolutely have to get a Margarita Swirl!!!! But r limited to 2 drinks!
I heard lots of good things about Tomasita's, so when my co-workers said they'd like to go there this week for lunch, I was very excited. However, the service was VERY SLOW!
The food is ok. This is New Mex after-all. The drinks are good and you score a freebie if you gat one spilled on you. The hostess is so "tiny" and cute. Literally
joseph j's tip is pretty close - there's a 4 drink limit per person (incl beer) but frozen margaritas (the frogg is best) are counted as 2 drinks. unheard of...can't return.
Maybe it’s because I’m used to texmex, but I found the tamales mediocre and the margaritas lame. Also, the canned refried beans I buy are better. Don’t wait in the insane line for this.
