Many of us at thoughtbot have a hop-tooth. We can't resist hitting one of these beer bars and brew pubs after a day slinging Ruby, Javascript, HTML, and CSS in vim.
thoughtbot: Lord Hobo is the old B-Side Lounge. Situated in a residential neighborhood a 15 minute walk from Kendall or Central Squares on the Red Line you need to want it to get here. It's worth it.
thoughtbot: The bar that Kendall Square always needed. Attached to same superstructure as Google office above the Kendall Square Red Line T stop. After-work spot. Lots of travelers who stay at Kendall hotels.

thoughtbot: A tiny spot crammed into the side of a parking garage and perched precariously over the Mass Pike, the bar is two-people wide. Music's usually rocking. Huge craft beer list. Cash-only.
thoughtbot: The larger of the two Bukowskis, situated in hipster haven Inman Square amongst some of the best restaurants in the Northeast, the music is also loud and brash. Cash-only.
thoughtbot: Not a newcomer. One of the oldest craft beer spots in town. We've been to awesome cask events and special Pretty Things events here. Go before a show at Brighton Music Hall.
thoughtbot: Smack in the middle of Harvard Square, this place inevitably feels like a smart Harvard student gastropub. The beer is good but the food is, too. Get the oysters and/or the burgers.
