- E MarApril 19, 2016Gorgeous hotel downtown. There was a jar of fresh cookies at check in. The bar had jazz music in the evening. Felt like I was transported back to 1920. Walking distance to Gaslamp and Little Italy
- Elaine CourtneyNovember 7, 2011Marie Antoinette'd approve of afternoon tea here, amidst the beautiful ornate interiors that spoke of the Rococo era! Love how there's a live harp performance while we tea-ed. Validated 2 hr parking.
- Moo JuJuly 1, 2013Sunday brunch is a SD must! Don't miss the caviar, hamachi sashimi and fresh oyster Bloody Mary shots.
- iPhone JunkieXLApril 9, 2012The place has a rather stuffy & uppity vibe, however the Sunday brunch is easily 1 of the top 3 brunches I've ever had! There's such a large variety, I suggest trying little bits of a lot of things
- Altaf KwAugust 3, 2016A luxury hotel in San Diego downtown. Good location, beautiful Interiors, but the service level is low. We had to call for cleaning the room!!
- Edward ForteJuly 29Nice fancy interior and great place for tea. Entrance a little hard to find, its in the middle of the building
- MichaelJuly 27, 2014Amazingly comfy hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful. Was able to get a room for comic-con at the last second using Kayak.
- VallyriMay 16, 2023It's old Victorian themed but it's cute and clean though it looks old. They have tea time and the gym is amazing!
- Rachel KOctober 8, 2014How many places do turn down service with chocolates on your pillow? Love the old fashioned, classic hotel in downtown San Diego.
- Craig BruceFebruary 14, 2016Amazing rooftop pool and overlooking gym area (there is a full fitness Center elsewhere)
- DonationMatchAugust 25, 2011The very large, outdoor 3rd floor rooftop terrace is a fantastic venue for special events and charitable fundraisers. Plenty of space for 1,000 or more people.
- The fantastic chief conciërge: she gave us good tips 4 sightseeing San Diego. The breakfast is THE most important meal of the day: enjoy it here!
- Annie CNovember 10, 2013Great Saturday night jazz with Gregory Page from 8-11pm. Not your average hotel jazz.
- Joe MurrayAugust 3, 2011Be sure to meet Shraddha Carlin the concierge and smiling, friendly face of the Westgate.
- Fernanda PembletonAugust 27, 2012The parking fee 37.50 a night . Horrible I know but I couldn't find near by parking lots with "in and out" privileges or overnight choices. On top of the ridiculous parking fee there is a 15 hotel fee
- Thomas GallenFebruary 11, 2012Around 0800 they come in to turn down the bed and leave chocolates-it's great!
- Alex PerezDecember 4, 2011Awesome staff great catering. Come here every year for company holiday party

- Fernanda PembletonAugust 27, 2012Hotel should be 4 stars and not 5. It's not worth the extra fees but good service overall
- Meridith StokesSeptember 12, 2011The overnight valet charge is ridiculous at $32. There are other lots nearby for less.
- Be AndradaNovember 26, 2014Hotel excelente, estilo antigo, quarto amplo e confortável, cama grande, banheiro bom, piscina e jacuzzi, academia, serviço excelente, próximo aos bares e restaurantes que funcionam a noite.
