What an awesome experience. Self guided walk through, but if you stop and read some of the larger pieces of text on the walls, even the most casual fan will have a great understanding.
You can experience moving birds of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room with a controller. It is very difficult to make them behave naturally, you can feel the magnificence of the craftsmen.
An awesome lovely place for the Disney fans,I am crazy about the Disney's,nice place for family visit as well, that's a huge place. If you want to see the entire Disney you need a whole day.recommended
Wonderful galleries and exhibits on the man behind the myth; special exhibitions are always changing. And the cafe here serves one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever tasted.

Absolutely fantastic, but be aware that this museum is about WALT DISNEY as a person & about the world he created. Not the best place for kids, but a must for anyone who wants to learn about Disney.

Wonderful museum to read all about Walt Disney. If there was anyone who embraced the latest technology (of the era), it was Walt. Fascinating to read how he was ahead of the curve.
Leave the small children at home, this ain't *that* kind of Disney spot! Focusing entirely on the history of Walt Disney (the person), with lots of reading, I'd recommend for teenagers/adults only.
It’s about the man himself so don’t expect everything Disneyland (though there is some near the end). Some kids looked bored. I spent 5 hours here and could have gone back for more!
Allow yourself an extra hour than you planned - everything is so interesting and you won't be able to stop reading. Special Also, Exhibit is in a separate building that nobody will tell you about.
Great place to visit - has a great layout filled with lots of interesting things. Not a museum about Mickey Mouse but the life of Walt Disney) the person, so not the best place to bring kids.

Plan for at least 4 hours here. It's that interesting + full of info. Kids will love it but if you really want to understand the life of Walt Disney then get a sitter.
They allow photography (without flash) in their exhibit! It's such a wonderful experience. They only include the classics; Cinderella, Snow White, Bambi, lady and the tramp
Expect to spend the whole day here if you're a fan of Walt Disney and a history buff. You won't believe how much stuff they have in an unassuming building!

Check their website to get a list of upcoming events. It is a great place to see, hear & meet Disney legends for a very affordable price. Bring your autograph books as they often stick around after.
This place blew me away! I was prepared to skim through but everything was interesting! I ended up staying 5 hrs. The attention to detail Disney puts in its parks is just as prevalent here.
this place contains a lot of useful information about Walt Disney as a man. not a place for kids. it is definitely interesting to see the beginning of such successful business.
Really nice place with extremely nice employees. Tons of information are held within the galleries so take your time as you go through. Don't rush or you might miss something.
Cool place to stop in if you're a fan of Disney in general -- more about Walt and the history of the studio than what a lot of us grew up on in the 80s & 90s.
Walt Disney’s story is brought to life at The Walt Disney Family Museum in The Presidio of San Francisco. The Museum illuminates Disney’s achievements using historic materials, interactive galleries, artwork, a model of Disneyland and more. Visitors can also enjoy the Museum store, and Disney films.
