Spicy food lovers have to get the Sambal Fried Potatoes. Curry lovers must get the curried fried chicken wings. Amazing - crunchy on the outside, succulent and flavorful on the inside.
Exquisite, unusual tastes and flavors are pervasive on the menu. Kaya toast, Laksa noodles and beef rendang are delicious. Just be wary of portion sizes, which vary from dish to dish.
My new fav restaurant. Fried cauliflower, creamed kale, raw yellowtail, yellyfish salad and fhe scallops were each amazing and special with all the great spices.
One of the best new restaurant opening in Los Angeles! Bring four people and eat your way through the entire menu. And do NOT leave without tasting the Fried Cauliflower. You will thank me later...
Creamed kale is delish as is the beef Rendang and kaya toast (giving Susan Feniger a run for her money!) Could skip the Black pepper crab toast. Wine pairing was cool too.
According to a server, Spice Table will remain at its 1st & Central location through the end of the year. The businesses on the block will disappear to make way for the Downtown Connector subway.
The curry fried chicken wings were tasty and had a dry rub. The beef rendang was tender and flavorful. The kale with pork belly was a good complement to the beef.

The Kaya Toast and the Raw Yellowtail are amazing. Their Beef Rendang was good but super hot/spicy, so make sure to have a glass of water ready. I didn't like the Laksa though... it tasted too fishy.

Only a few menu items (Kaya Toast, gem salad) are vegetarian. They can work to remove meat/fish from a few plates, but when you don't replace them with some other flavor, the whole thing is lacking.
Lunch: pork rice bowl and cheezeburger are downright comforting. Dinner: Hainanese chicken rice is better than Savoy in my (oh so very humble) opinion.
Try the secret eaterLA burger till May 8, also make sure to try the fried cauliflower and the Bok Choy, the shitake mushrooms and sauce are ridiculous.
