Grew up 3 blocks away when it was an abandoned shell of a movie theater. As a "live music snob," I was more than impressed with what they've rebuilt. Great sound/bug stage/nice space/beautiful venue.
The Space at Westbury is the best venue I have been to see a band in I don't know. Everything is aimed at offering an enjoyable evening. The Belt Parkway wont stop me if a fave act is playing.
Bigger than I expected it to be, with good acoustics. One downside: the wide-open bar area to the right of the floor seats tended to attract a fair number of noisy patrons.
The traffic this place causes is ridiculous. Stopping short because you missed the first turn for eventparking and double parking in front of the place cause a lot of traffic on a major road.
