In 2012 I left a tip "will be returning again" and viola! I brought my husband to Ireland for our anniversary and he loves the Shellbourne too. Clean rooms, friendly service, historic, 5 star

Spend some time in the reception area, where you can learn the history of the hotel, as well as what famous person has stayed in your room.

Great lecture on the history of the Shelbourne every third Sunday of the month at 3 with Dennis, an extremely knowledgeable maitre'd. I highly recommend it if your in town.

Great place for drinks. They are not the cheapest, but they are made to perfection. The legendary Horseshoe Bar is well worth a visit.

Nicely maintained historic luxury property. Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. Several famous people have visited over the years. They really celebrate the holiday season.

The hotel has a great location to discover Dublin and a great bar to enjoy your whiskey; and a great restaurant to try the steak.

Rooms have U.S., UK & EU outlets. If you want to work from your bed on your devices, pack an extension cord. No outlets by bed. I use the U.S extension cord for my my devices and hair tools.

Even though I live in Dublin, once or twice a year my wife and I treat ourselves to a night here. If you can get to stay in one of the suites it is worth it.

Straight through the front door, across the lobby, make eye contact with everyone , head down the stairs - great jacks and right across the road from Stephens Green. 5 star dump.
