Ok, so the Disney-like tour through the history of whisky might be a bit phony. However, it all makes sense when you find yourself viewing Arthur's Seat with a flight board of whiskies to savor. Oh my
The visit at the SWE is very entertaining and it is a good place to learn the basics of the whisky. I would recommend the silver tour, the gold tour is 10 pounds more expensive for a 2nd tasting only
Whisky: a great learning experience for those new and even those who already appreciate a wee dram. Museum at the end of the tour is astounding. Don't forget to enjoy the view and a drink at the bar.
Very fun way to learn about the greatest liquid on the planet. The in depth explanation of the different regions was incredibly enlightening. If you can, do a dinner with whisky pairing. Delicious!
Wow!! A must if you're a ScotchWhisky aficionado. If you know or think you know some about Scotch, you'll still learn a lot and have a chance to try different regions of Scotch
Try the Whisky masterclass, it's a compact Whiskytour with Whisky tasting. And you'll be able to see the biggest Scotch Whisky collection in the world.
The ride to start is a quick, easy introduction to whiskey distilling, knowledgeable guides take you on a journey through the history and geography afterwards. Whiskey tasting is a great inclusion
If you like whiskey then this is for you. Do the gold package tour as that comes with 5 samples vs the silver which has just one. Also the whiskey store is amazing!
We did the silver tour. I would recommend doing the gold because you get to try the 4 varieties of whiskey. It's a very nice experience that involves knowledge and fun.
We went one rainy day, and it was perfect! I found it very interesting and entertaining. It really pays the visit. BTW, you will have the chance to try a shot of whisky.
Everything you need to know on making single malt whisky and the different flavours from the different whisky regions in Scotland. Also very entertaining! If Michael is your guide!
We just completed our tour with Lillian and she was amazing! Currently earning our membership into The Scottish Whisky Society. Would highly recommended.
A must-see in Edinburgh. Serves a compressed info-tour about Scotchwhisky. The virtual tour is kind of childish but the tasting and gifts were well worth the amount we paid.
2x a year there's a distillers fair on the top floor. Visit on one of those days, your silver tour ticket comes with free entry (and more tastings!) to the distillers fair! Check for those dates.
It may seem like a tourist trap, but the staff is patient and knowledgable. If your on the fence about a particular one, the bar downstairs has most of what they offer. Had a really good experience.
Visit the new ScotchWhisky Experience for a sensational journey! Take a swirling, bubbling barrel ride through a replica distillery as you become part of the whisky making process.
Amazing whisky!!! Awesome staff and bar. Food is top! Highly recommend for weddings and events aswell. If you need a wedding photographer for this venue contact Matt @ www.mattephotography.co.uk
