They're really selective about what they take in. As a result, they don't have a very wide selection, their stuff is sometimes too nice/not casual, & it's also more expensive than other thrift stores.
They charge $2.50 for a coffee mug worth less than $1, but they once had a mahogany sofa for sale dirt cheap. I told an employee there must be a mistake, but it was shrugged off. What a pity.
I'm so disgusted by the Salvation Army's reputation and treatment of it's workers, I won't even step foot inside their stores. Won't support bad ethics.
