One of the better meals I've ever had in NYC. Go with the chef's tasting menu, and ask them to go heavy on the Polenta board. You'll leave satisfied and absolutely stuffed
Great oyster happy hour, amazing wine pairing with the set menu. But the set menu with their specialties, including the polenta, was TOO greasy and salty. Really. Maybe the chef was high? :-D
Amazing food and great chief. Everything is so well considered and beautifully paired. Home made beet pasta is amazing. A delight to your tastebuds from apperizers to desssert.
Get the tasting menu for a group! Great wine list, delicious & well prepared food and the best service in Williamsburg (service is very high end in a comfortable space). I always take people here.
Great playlist (souls of mischief? Win) and cushion for your knees under the bar add to the great food / wine appeal. Recommendations for wines never fail.
As a carnivore I don't usually fantasize about vegetable dishes but I go back there just for the broccoli rabe... And everything else is equally well crafted.
Do yourself a favor and get the tasting menu, it's $30 or $50 with wine pairing and completely worth it! My favorites are of course the broccoli rabe, polenta, and lasagna!
BROKELYN: "The only place on this list that I’m endorsing for both oysters and polenta. Don’t leave without trying the polenta (though sadly, it is not $1). Happy hour is 6pm to 8pm."
Do yourself a favor and get the tasting menu. Best deal in the neighborhood! They'll tailor it to whatever interests you on the menu. Jackie is super nice!
I would deff go back here. However I do believe one tip is inaccurate. The polenta wasn't great. I've had way better but everything else was amazing and great service.
I do not like broccoli rabe. I repeat, I DO NOT LIKE broccoli rabe. But I ate every last bit of it at The Saint Austere. Any place that came make me eat food I usually hate is a winner in my book.
