This is an upscale bar/lounge within the Gramercy Hotel that serves $19 martinis. Do recommend their crunchy and tasty French fries! Good ambiance and music but the crowd is older and unattractive. :/
Sexy, mature and a gorgeous space. The Rose Bar, sets the mood for chilling with friends or a date. Dress accordingly and be prepared to get gorgeous ambience, great service and drinks
While the drinks are expensive, we love to grab a cocktail here while we're waiting to be seated at Maialino. The scene is classy and upscale, and we feel instantly cool just by sitting at the bar.
In the latest incantation of the Gramercy's hotel bar, Julian Schnabel and Ian Schrager have crafted a chic space fit for Bourbon kings and bourbon lovers.
“The velvety decor, mile-high ceilings, and gigantic fireplace will lure you in. The drinks are a little pricey, but the ambience is worth it. It’s one of my favorites for people-watching.” Read more
Congratulations, you have arrived at one of the most exclusive bars in Manhattan and one of #FWPRESS Favorite Bars....Enjoy the Cocktails (Oh and Congratulations for getting in too)
Congratulations you have arrived at one of the most exclusive bars in Manhattan and of #FWPRESS Favorite Bars....Enjoy the Cocktails with beautiful people. (On and congrats again for getting in...)
Although it is not the scene as it was five years ago, this bar is always fun, relaxed, and serves great cocktails... reminds me of Cheers in some regards
gentlemens and their gentleladies. live jazz on tues and thursdays. vodka martini stirred with a twist. sport your thursday jacket. live in the moment. #mrdalal
I always leave a tip :-) Plus, just be cordial to the staff. They are people too. Don't feel too special, because everyone in NYC is either someone or knows someone.
A great night spot, Gramery Park Hotel's art-rich nightclub offers expertly mixed cocktails & live music. Check out the artwork by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat & Keith Haring while you are here.
This is a scene. Maybe the scene. An opulent Spanish-style space with a bohemian air. Schnabels on the walls, celebs around the fireplace, outrageous cocktails. Come before 9pm to secure a table.
Good, but very expensive drinks ($19 for cocktails, if you get a bourbon on the rocks it's $23), but you pay for the atmosphere more than anything else. Make a reservation to get in on the weekends.
Discrimination. It does not matter if u have reservation or not... What it does matter is if the boucer likes your face... And believe me we were 4 girls all together... Too bar Rose Bar.
This ultra-exclusive spot has so little interest in ordinary folks (that’s you and me) that you must request a reservation via e-mail if you want a drink after 9 p.m. (rosebar@gramercyparkhotel.com).
If you want to impress a client or a date, there's a secret bar here. Champagne starts around $60 a glass.. Try it after dinner at Maialino, 1 of the best new restaurants in the city, I know a chef.. Read more
Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. (And congratulations again for actually getting in.) We recommend the Maca Martini, made with Sagatiba Cachaça.
"A lot of people hate the Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel. It's expensive, the decor is contrived, you have to make a reservation to get in after 9:00 p.m. What detractors fail to appreciate..." Read more
Ridiculously exclusive. Can you GET more NY than Artist Julian Schnabel? And no, just because you're a registered hotel guest doesn't mean you'll get in. Go early.
Feeling ambitious? Try getting into the Gramercy Park Hotel'suber-exclusive hangout, where Warhols adorn the walls. If you succeed, $19martinis (and bragging rights) await you.
Second worst manhattan I've had in Manhattan. Most expensive as well. And I love music but I don't get why they turn up the volume a notch per song. We were YELLING but I could only see lips moving.
The drinks are pricey, but nice and strong. Everyone here looks like a model but they weren't pretentious and actually were friendly with us "non-fabulous" common folk.
Drinks are over priced ($19 per drink as your cheapest option) and the service of bartenders was ridiculously arrogant. Romantic ambience with nice location near Gramercy Park, though.
